What we collect

Account details (name, email, password hash), household preferences (persona, diet type, health tags), meal/vote history, inventory and grocery-list entries, and content you submit (food experiments, reviews). If you use camera-based scanning or photo-based nutrition logging, the photo is sent to our AI provider for analysis at that moment — we do not store the photo itself, only the structured result (e.g. detected items, estimated calories).

Microphone & camera consent

The cook-along assistant's voice check-ins and the pantry/plate scanning features request microphone or camera access directly from your browser. These only activate when you explicitly start them, and you can deny or revoke permission at any time in your browser settings — the rest of the app works without them.

How we use it

To run the core features you're using (menu planning, reminders, cook-along, grocery lists), to improve recommendations, and — only where you explicitly invite someone — to attribute referral rewards. We do not sell your personal data.

Third parties

We send limited data to AI providers (e.g. Google Gemini) to generate content and analyze photos you submit, and to video platforms (e.g. YouTube) to fetch cook-along videos and captions. If you choose to place a grocery order through a partner store, relevant order details are shared with that partner to fulfill it.

Your rights

From your profile menu you can download a full export of your household's data at any time, and delete your account outright — deleting the last member of a household deletes the household and all of its data.
