Grocery lists from the meal plan, not from memory

Playbook

A grocery list generator is only useful if it knows two things: what you plan to cook, and what is already in the fridge. Otherwise you buy a second bag of toor dal and still miss curry leaves.

Household grocery planning

Match shopping cadence to the home: daily fresh, a weekly bulk shop, or as-needed. The list should cover the next meals in that window, scaled to how many people eat, including rice, roti, and drinks — not just the main.

Indian grocery lists

Indian kitchens run on staples plus a short list of perishables. Keep grains and dals in the pantry view; let the weekly list lean on fruit and vegetables that will not last the month.
