Reduce food waste at home with the pantry you already have
Playbook
Food waste at home is usually a timing problem: vegetables bought for a plan that never happened, or a plan that ignored what was already expiring. You do not need a new number on a dashboard. You need this week's meals to use what will spoil first.
What to do this week
- Scan or list fridge items with a use-by date, even roughly.
- Put expiring produce into the next unlocked meals, not into “someday.”
- Do not generate a grocery list that re-buys what is still good.
Cook as a Service tracks pantry status (fresh / expiring / expired) and can reshuffle an unlocked week toward what is in the fridge. It will not invent rupees saved. If we do not have a spend or disposal log, we will not show one.
